What size engine please? Link enclosed
I am not up to snuff on 914's just yet. Assuming this car has a barely running engine, can a 2.0 liter bolt right in? if so, how much is a decent 2.0? I am actually within driving distance of this car, and body wise it doesn't seem too bad. thanks scot |
ok... i saw the 1.7 liter badge on the back (duh)..... can a decent 2.0 liter fit in this car, and if so, how easy, and how much? (i would love a V8, but not sure I trust anyone locally for that (i am a knucklehead who cannot do it myself!!!)
thanks...Scot |
WELL A 2.0 THAT IS COMPLETE WILL BOLT RIGHT IN JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL OF THE FI PARTS FROM THE 2.0
YOU NEED THE HARNESS BRAIN MPS ETC FOR IT TO WORK RIGHT AND I HAVE SEEN 2.0 THAT ARE COMPLETE FOR 800 BUT NORMALLY MORE IF YOU WANT TO GO CARBS YOU CAN DO IT CHEAPER BY NOT NEEDING THE FI PARTS BUT THEN YOU WONT GET THE BEST PERFOMANCE UNLESS THE MOTOR HAS OTHER WORK IE: CAM COMPRESSION RAISED ETC GOOD LUCK |
I would buy it Only for parts, Too much rust on it . I bet the floors and battery box areas are swiss cheese. Its worth $500 as a parts car. I would cost more to fix than I would even think of spending. Steve
