pedal box stud broken.

One of my pedal studs is sheared. Anyone know how to replace 'em? do they just tap out or are they welded in?

When I did some work in that area, I cut both studs off, drilled out the holes and then spot welded a couple of nuts to a piece of 1/8 inch steel plate that was then welded under the floor area. Stiffened up the sheetmetal somewhat and is much easier to work with. Good luck
