Front License Bracket ???

In Montana you need a front plate. I'll put one on for a while. While the local constables get used to me and my car. Then I'll take it off this summer.

Does the 914 use the same front plate holder as the 911 ? Took mine off my 911. It seems to stick out a bit far.
I have 73 chrome, with no bumper guards. Looks kind of goofy.
Are there other options ?

TIA for your help.........

I got one from Canadian Tire, probably availabe at Wal-mart. It is a simple plastic one that the plate slides into. There are a bunch of holes on the frame for different bumper hole configs and holes for the plate too. It came with plastic nuts and bolts.

I went for the plastic one because the metal one left rust stains on the bumper. It holds the plate closer to the bumper which makes it a bit more difficult to get the bra on but I don't use the bra much anyhow, doesnt fit over the Lt. Ed. spoiler nicely.

I'll try to get a pic for you and post it later.

Oh ya, had to take the bumper off to fasten it good though.

I don't know about where you are but a cop here issued me a $75 ticket for not having it. Didn't pay, just put on the plate and went to station to prove it. Guess the cop didnt like the 'punk' driving a Porsche.

Good Luck,

I bought a factory one a while back and it is a 911 part number. I never mounted it to the car, but it sure looked like it would work fine.

Since I sold the car, the bracket's up on ebay right now.
