mallory dizzy for carbs

I found a Mallory dizzy in my garage from my type1 days. It is model # yl-541-hp. It is a twin point setup, no vac advance. I have been reading as many posts as I can about the best dizzy for a carbed motor. Is this my dream distributor?

Motor is a 2L, 9-1CR, 40idfs. My current 009 is fine from 4-6k rpm, but lots of low end lag.

any and all thoughts welcome. Jake you the man, your Mallory knowledge is extra welcome.

thanks all.

Al we deal with is the optical, newer Mallories...Yours probably is still very adjustable and may give added perfromance, even though it is not optical.
