The red blank is for the valet key (can't open the glove box or the trunks).

Now can we see a show of hands of those who no longer have their valet key?SmileWavy

Oooooh, the thought of letting some valet drive my teener!
It will never happen.

Indeed. I used to be a valet. We had an overflow parking lot located about 1/2 mile down the road from the main parking lot. Strangely, we always seemed to be out of close parking when a sweet sports car pulled in.

Not to mention the artistry required to negotiate the 901, well beyond the abilities of the average valet.

My old 914 had the valet key, and a dusty valet ticket inside the dash (fell out when I was tearing the dash apart). The ticket was from a resturant in San Francisco. I had never been west of Nashville, apparently my car had.
