Djet Help!!

I am at my wits end. Engine running way too rich and bogs down under acelleration. I have checked dwell, timing, points all to no avail. I have heard the pressure regulator on th drivers side will cause a rich condition if its bad, but how bad will it effect the engine? This cant be the way a engine should be running. Please help!

check the MPS. See if it still holds a vacuum. You can check that by just sucking on the hose.

Check your temperature sensors. Running rich is a classic symptom of temperature sensor failure.

If you haven't done so already, check out Brad Ander's very complete discussion of the djet for the 914.

Got it! MPS would not hold vacuum at all. Had a spare, runs much better. Still need to fine tune my timing but otherwise way relieved. RSCHROED you are pretty close to where i am, you should stop by some time!
