Hello All,
I have searched past posts, but haven't been able to find anything on this particular item. Where the air leaves the fan shroud on its way to the heat exchangers, there are two caps or clamps (one on either side) that maintain the union from the shroud to the "Y" shaped duct. There are gaskets in these caps that are conformed to the inner shape of the cap. Mine are broken and missing some areas. I am trying to replace these with some rubber/cork gasket sheet that I got from the FLAPS, cutting and RTVing them into position a little at a time. Is there an easier way of doing this? Is there a more malleable material I could use? I really don't want to just squeeze out a half tube of RTV goop and call it a fix. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Ed |
