Jay, Nice photo! What camera did you use? How was it mounted? Shutter speed, aperature, film speed, etc.? Just curious.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I used my Nikon F5 on a tripod that I taped to the roll bar. 20mm lens, F 5.6 - 20 second exposure - minus 2 stops rear shutter fill flash.

I just drove slow in a circle while the shutter was open, then the flash sort of freezes the action.

20 second exposure with fill flash. Cool. I haven't tried shooting much with long exposures. Very artsy!

Thanks,
Mike

Great pic, it's now my wallpaper too. Got a question though, what's a porvette? Vette and Porsche? You have one of each?

You guessed it - '72 914 with a '69 corvette small block engine. Makes about 400 hp, enough to lift the front wheels off the ground. If someone wants to send me a 901 transaxle, I will thrash it for a picture with the front tires in the air! I have had no problems (except for fried clutches) with my tranny. (fingers crossed)

Kev, one of us can e-mail it to you if you want. It's only about 200k in JPEG format. Let us know.
