Question Which way to advance?

I cannot for the life of me remember which way to turn the distributor to advance the timing! Can someone give a hint?
Thanks!

Counterclockwise! This is how I try to keep it in mind...
Think of where the rotor is positioned at TDC for #1. In your mind try to find out what would happen to the spark if you would turn the distributor eather one way.
