Carb Choke
I disassembled my fan and 1-2 intake manifold thinking that both were making a noise. I thought the fan was ruvving on the housing so I started the motor with the fan removed and the noise was still there. Then I replaced the intake gasket on 1-2 cause the idle changed a little when I sprayed carb cleaner. The sound was still there. So I stuck my ear closer than anyone should and started messing with the choke on my Dell. Well, when I totally removed the choke off the carb and started the car the sound went away. Imagine my surprise as I am looking and the removed fan and cooling tin that is going to be a lot of fun to reassemble tomorrow.
Onto my question... Does anyone know how to remove these choke totally from the carb? Is there a plate of something that can go in place of the piece that is highlighted??? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
