I have been having issues for over a year trying to get my tach to work correctly with the MSD 6AL. Even with the adapter it was hyper sensitive to engine temps and any changes in current flow (turning on the light, oil cooler fan, etc). Beejay posted a schematic a while back tying the tach to a completely different lead on the MSD. I made the switch last night, drove the car for an hour with every single fan, light, flasher on and it was rock solid.
Thanks a million for the research and posting Beejay. Scott S in burning Colorado

Glad to help. That is the beauty of this BB, if you learn things the hard way, you can share, and save others the headache. Or, if your are struggling with something, someone in the archives has prolly figured it out already.
