Unhappy throttle body screw adjustment

on my 1974 914 2.0....there is a screw on the side of the throttle body for the fuel injection....on the throttle body there is no outlet for a tube going to the distributor...so what does the screw adjust?...and what spec do you adjust it to?...thanks..john c.

Its for adjusting bypass air around the closed throttle plate at idle conditions. Its called the "idle air adjustment screw"...
