OE Muffler hanger
I'm in the process of converting my 1.8 in to a 2056. Do I now need a 2.0 muffler hanger?
Thanks David |

It has nothing to do with the displacement change, you use the muffler hanger that matches the heat exchangers and muffler.

ditto above.
if you run a 2.0 set of heat exchanger, then you need a 2.0 muffler and 2.0 hanger if you run a 1.7/1.8 set of heat exchangers, then you need a 1.7 muffler and hanger. and there is a bit of horse power to be gained to get rid of the late 75 style reverse loop exhaust system... make sure you use the early 1.7 or early 2.0 style systems.
