Moving to Houston, looking for a great shop!
I'm considering a relocation to Houston. Does anyone know or can recommend a good quality and reliable shop there? Thanks, appreciate it.

Rennsport: Porsche Works of Sealy,TX
I've used him (Mike Callas) and everybody has nothing but great things to say about him. 45 minute drive from Houston though.

Sounds good, appreciate it. By the way, what's the Porsche Scene like down there? Is the PCA very active?

What Porsche scene? Nobody drives classic Porsches. I have never seen another 914 on the road. Probably less than 5 classic 911's seen. There are a couple here and there, but very limited. Plenty of water-cooled one's though.

Houston is a great town. I hope you like it.
If you like track days and racing, there are a few of us around that do a lot with NASA and PCA. I haven't done a lot of social stuff with the local PCA club but I would like to. There are some great tracks within a short drive. TWS has to be one of the most underrated tracks in the country. Let me know when you get here. I'd love to meet up with some of you guys for a beer. |

We have a very active PCA chapter (Lone Star Region) with activites for every area of interest. Drives, swap meets, tech sessions, DEs, performance drving schools at the Police Academy and of course Club Racing.
While the air cooled cars are a bit of a rare siting, there are a number around. Once you get over the humidity, Houston is a great place to settle. David Lee
