Lazy Cylinder
My 2.0 has a cylinder at 80psi compression, the others are at 140psi. It still runs strong. I am seeking opinions about what my next move should be. Of course a full overhaul would be best. However I am thinking about just having head work and rings. It seems to have good oil pressure. Has anyone been in this situation before? I would love to have a sample of the results. If I could get it to hold together a year or so longer it would be great. This is not my daily driver.

If you have not adj the valves, this would be my first step.

Head torque
You may be able to get in there and check. Then adjust valves since you are all warmed up under the car anyway.
If you check torque of head bolts after you adjust valves, you will have the chance to practice your skill again.:) |
