Bought a 914 today

I bought another 914 today. A 73 2.0 with fuchs and a perfect interior. It also has front and rear sway bars too. I bought it for a quick turn around, but the longer I look at it the more I want to keep the darn thing! You think I would be satisfied with the 914 and 911 I already have. My wife thinks it would be cool to take both on runs with one of our girls in each car. Sounds fun, but I think I will get rid of the thing and stick to the plan before I fall deeper under its spell. I'm sure you guys know the feeling. Anyways I am excited about it and thought I would share with the rest of you guys. Later,
Robert

I will try and post some tonight. I am getting a digital camera today. Just got back from a drive, definately needs some new shift bushings. Man those doors feel a whole lot heavier than my 71, even the door skin feels thicker. I was surpised to find no rattles in the suspension or body. It is really solid. I never drove a 914 with sway bars. It makes a world of difference. Well I'll stop going on and on about it, just having a whole lot of fun now. Gotta go, found another excuse to drive, my pops needs a ride.

I'm not the least bit partial owning a '73 2.0 myself. I would keep that one & sell the other unless it's a 914-6. I've come to learn the '73 2.0 is much more sought after. I don't know about the heavier door thing though Anyway they are definately a disease. I just bought a 2nd one myself. Originally to turn around & sell. Of course I'm reconsidering & am thinking of doing a conversion. Good luck with whatever you decide

Assuming your market isn't the people on this board, what did this 'turnaround' 914 cost you?

I would rather not since I may be selling it soon. Never know who might be interested. Since the market for these things is small, I probably will be posting it here. I gave my buddy the first chance at it. After I told him what I paid he wasn't interested just because he knew what I paid. Lesson learned.
