water injection questions
 

Hey guys, My Friend and i have been playing around with the idea of putting somesort of water injection system in our 914's. I am not looking to increase HP. I am more interested in lowering my temp and running clean. I probably will also have somesort of alcohol mix (about 70/30) too. Has anyone tried this. Any Problems. I have lots of ideas and i am getting a pretty good idea of how i might do it but i would like some info from you guys if you have any. Thanks alot

Ed Villela, who posts as "Evill Ed" on the Shoptalk Forums BBS (http://www.shoptalkforums.com) has water/alcohol injection for just such a purpose on his 914. He turns it on when he goes over a certain amount of boost pressure.

Did I mention his 914 has a turbocharged, CIS-injected 2.0 motor in it??

interesting...I took alook at his car. Thats a beauty!!! Anyways thanks for the info. A wile ago i found a site on water injection systems. it sounds great. It was designed for a turbo but with a little tweeking i think i could adapt it to my 914. Take a look. This is not a kit but rather a do it your self instructions with explanations, instalation instructions, the whole 9 yards. AND it was done trying to keep a low budget!!! Perfect for me.
