Correct color for black mesh
 
What is the correct color for the black mesh that goes over the engine compartment hatch. Is it usually flat or gloss black. I'm prepping for paint and wanted to do the right thing. It's currently flat black, but I'm not sure if it's correct.

It generally has a "satin" finish. There's a Wurth product that has the right finish, it might be "Body Schutz"?

Rustoleum Satin Black looks very original as well.
