New conversion Stud length

I will be doing a 4 - 5 lug conversion on my '74 and have a Question...

How do I determine the best length for the studs? I have flares on and may need spacers to fill the flares.

Is there a size that will work in most situations? and Lug type

I haven't bought my wheels yet I am thinking of getting:

- Phone Dials
- Cookies
- Fuchs ($$$ my be a problem)

Thanks

You can use spacers they will help to fill the wheel well up. They look a little odd when the tire sits so far back in the flare.
You may want to look at some early issues of Excellence Issues
#102 and 111. They have a pair of really nice flared 914s with 15 inch Fuchs. IMHO this is the only way to on a flared 914. I am now running 16x7 inch Fuchs without flares, so I will be going to either 8 inch 15 or 16 when I get my flares on, not sure which yet.

I have a beautiful set of 4 cookies (15X7) that no one seems to be interested in (I have advertized them in the past and never had any response). They were rarley used (I think they have been in storage since 1985) from a 944 and have nearly perfect paint - glossy black centers and clear-coated rims. I don't think you will find rims as nice for as cheap as I will sell them.

If you think they might work for you and you like the look of cookies, make me an offer on them.
