1970 Turn signal switch
I have ordered a replacement turn signal switch for my 1970 914-4.
Does anyone out there have any helpful insight or feed back on what it is going to involve? M. Ian McCloskey Arlington VA |
I believe that the actual 70 switch is NLA. (I may be thinking of another switch, but...) The original did not have a plug on it, and was simply wired into the wiring harness. The replacement is from a later car (72?) and has a connector. You will have to cut off the connector and splice the wires from the switch into the harness where you cut off the wires to the old switch.
As I said, I could be thinking of the wrong switch, here, but there is at least one in the early 914s that are like that. --DD |
