Master Cylinder Feed Lines
Hi guys. What should I use to replace the plastic lines that feed the MC from the resevoir? Mine looked in really poor condition so I removed them during my brake rebuild. The plastic tubing I bought from Home Depot is too brittle, when I slip it over the metal feed lines at the MC, it cracks in just a few minutes. At the auto parts store, the guy told me rubber "fuel line" would not work with brake fluid; the fluid would deteriorate the rubber almost immediately. PP list the feed lines as NLA.
Any ideas? Anyone had this issue before? TIA

There is hose that is designed for this. The stuff I got is blue, and I think it's made by Mercedes, among others. You should be able to get the stuff locally, probably need to find an auto parts store a little further up the food chain from "AutoZone" or "PepBoys", perhaps one of those places that cater to foreign makes and end in "Haus"

Didn't mean to leave Wayne out of the picture, assumed Mark had exhausted that resource. Is it in the "catalog", or do you have to call and ask for it?

Hello
In fact those feedlines whee made from a special PVC material. Supplier was Teclamit. Here in germany they where aviable preformed or as runing meter. You can substitude them by using the blue colored rubberhose as you find it between the canister and PVC lines. Tough that stuff is also very expensive. Remeber any failure in that line will maybe pump air into the system. Grüsse |

I'm pretty sure I've seen them in the brake section.
