What ignition are you using? After pulling my car out of winter storage it had a strange mis-fire. Thinking it was just in dire need of a tune up, I replaced plugs, wires, cap , rotor and decided to upgrade to a Comp-u-fire ignition. The miss was gone, but the car would run for 5 minutes like a champ, then die as if it were out of gas. I finally found that the ground wire on the lower trigger points had come off and was grounding out the ignition. Why it happened after 5 minutes each time still eludes me, and , as in your case, once the motor was stone cold it would run again. It's a long shot - just thought I would pass it on.
