Engine hoist attachment points
 

I am about to borrow a hoist to load my engine into my pickup to take in for a steam clean. Anyone care to save me some experiment time and tell me where I should attach the chain slings to so it balances and doesn't mess things up (like the engine sheet metal)? The trany and exhaust are still attached.

I would install the front motor mounting bar and use the outer motormount holes and the the tranny mounts (all four points).
