clutch adjustment
can anyone tell me if it is best to adjust the play in the clutch pedal at the pedal or at the tranny?

I believe you shouldn't adjust at the pedal because the clip may simply pop off the end of the cable. That end should be screwed completely in.
Besides, at the tranny is worlds easier on the body. Contorting your neck, back and wrist as you reach into that small hole in the front of the center tunnel. I try and do that as seldom as possible.

Make sure you have someone hold the pedal "up", or pull hard on the transaxle end of the cable to lift the pedal - this helps you get all the travel you can in the clutch so that when your foot is on the floor you disengage fully.
