Getting a bare chassis how to transfer parts from old car

Has anybody on this BB started with a bare chassis and built it up. I'm looking for some advice. I currently have a complete car that has the usual passenger side rust rot; engine shelf, trailing arm mount etc. The car is great except for that area. By the way it will be up for sale shortly. It is solid except for that area due to the battery acid. It has solid floors, trunks etc. But that is another post.
So now I have a rust chassis coming and I want to transfer all the parts over to the "new" chassis and I'm looking for other owners that can tell me from their own experiences on what to do and what not to do.

Thanks
Brian

Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, restored a 914. They took everything off and sprayed the car. Though not the same project as yours, a good place to start reading.

Jim you wouldn't happen to have the issues would you. I check there site and sent them an email about past issues.

You can buy all the 914 issues as a package on their site. I think they cost like $25 or so.

Their link doesn't change as you click on stuff so start here:

http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/

Click on "GRM Merchandise"

then on "Back Issue Collections"

at the bottom click "Next"

You'll find the 914 collection at the bottom of the 2nd page.

This might work as a direct link without their frame navigation:
