Ignition Steering Lock Return Position Question.
I have a problem with the ignition key return in the off position. When I turn the ignition key to the off position the steering lock and tumbler assembly has a ramp and spring pressure that will push the key and tumbler assembly out and away from the steering column and lock the steering column when removing the key. My spring tension on the steering lock does not have enough spring pressure to engage the steering lock properly when removing the key. Its well lubricated and operates smoothly. It will work properly if I giggle with the key in the off position and make the tumbler lock assembly pop out to the return position like it should. Any suggestions will help. How and What part do I need to replace or fix.
Hope you can understand what I am trying to describe with the Ign. key being turned to the the off position and locking steering column when removing the Ign. key.
