Pre-luber?
I'm thinking about installing a Pre-luber on my 914 since it would'nt be a daily driver. Plus plan on storing it in winters. My question is, do you think it's worth the investment or do you think the quality of the motor oils now a days make it obsolete.

Piping an accumulator (pre luber) would be costly and probably require removal and partial disassembly of the engine.
Hook up a battery charger, disconnect the coil wire and turn the engine over till you get pressure, then fire the engine. Run car once every other week or once per month and you should be fine.

Electric type
The one I was looking at was the electric motor & pump type from www.enginelube.com the kit cost $500.oo not cheap. would be cheaper just to start engine every now & then. If I had a turbo I would think about there after-luber(runs oil to turbo for 4 minutes after shut down) to help prevent coking at turbo.
