powder coating?
I'm going to reinstall my seats after new upholstery and brand new carpet... my seat railings are not in the best cosmetic shape I've seen..
my question is should I have them sandblasted and powder coated? is it worth the time and money? If so, what other parts should I have done at the same time to save on shipping/transportation back and forth. I'm not restoring to concours condition by any means. I don't even know who does this in San Antonio if anyone at all. Thanks, robert. |

I would not bother. In my experience they are not a high rust item - just clean them up and use some good rattle can paint on them.

if you want cheap and really nice looking job that will be unbelievably durable I would sandblast the rails and then spray them with black zero-rust out of a rattle can. this is what I will be doing to mine.

black zero-rust.. that sounds good. they do need a good sandblasting, though.
thanks for the input. robert. |

if you want to ship them to me I will sandblast them for you, no charge. not sure how much it'd cost to have someone local do it, but if it's cheaper to ship 2x then PM me.
