just bought a 1.8 motor no history. since type internals could be interchanable i was wondering , how do i know i have the right crank for this engine??
really hoping it's a 2.0 thanks |

There may be a code on the crank. 021 & 022 are 1.7 & 1.8 respectively ( they are in actuality the same). 2.0 crank will be stamped 039. Rods will be stamped also.
or Measure a rod journal - If 2.16" it's a 1.7/1.8. If 1.96", it's a 2.0 or You'll have to trust the engine code. A 1.8 is EC or AN
