Crank Case Ventillation

I have searched the threads and can't find my exact issue (I am also new here).

attached should be a stock hose diagram for a 1973 with FI. I have a stock 1973 1.7 with dual carbs and need to know what I need to change on this diagram for all the hoses. Can anyone scratch out a solution for me?

Thanks in advance from a newbie.

The hoses from the head vents #6 go thru the antiflashback valve #13 and then to the air cleaner #1. The hose from the oil breather #2 goes to the plenum #4 on the FI system.

You can tie all of them to a breather can or put #2 into a breather box with a return to the crankcase.

The head breathers can go to your air cleaner on the carbs with an adapter fitting.

The vacuum hose from the distributor #3 (retard) would have to go to a port on your manifold or a port below the butterflies on your carbs. The other vacuum line from #3 is an advance function and can be left open (not connected).

Thanks. I have been considering a breather box. Where would I connect the return to crankcase at?

Sorry, you can't really connect a return hose. Route it to a catch tank and drain it periodically.

Well, yes you can.
My breather can kit automatically drains back - so it never needs emptying,
and it supports the "green" option of routing the vapors to the air cleaners.
