Passenger Side window
 

I have a 1971 914 and over the weekend the passenger side window shattered when the door was shut. Are there different windows depending on the yr of the car to replace it with? Also that the window on that door slowly drops while driving, what is the reason or fix?

Any tips would be appreciated, as I am just waiting on the tags to arrive so I can start driving this 914. Thanks

The windows changed very early in the 1973 model year, or very late in the 1972 model year. The older style are lifted by a cable in a sheath, while the newer style use a scissor-type lift. You need the early one.

Not sure about the window sagging. Check the parts diagram (also seen in your Haynes book) to see what should go where.
