Early Teen w/ Late motor?
What type of problems might I encounter fitting a stock FI 1.8 from a '75 into a '70 with a tail shifter? Are there items that would need to be replaced? Are there any reasons why I wouldn't want to do this?
Thanks ![]()

If you are purchasing a long block, there would be no problems if you used all the attachements from the '70.
The '75 has a different engine mount system, a different fuel injection system, a different trans linkage setup and a different exhaust system. And a stock 1.8 has less HP than a stock early 1.7. Since you are in Riverside, there's a few of us that get together in San Bernardino on most Sundays. PIP Printing on 2nd and E streets. Tomorrow, we fire the barbecue and between burgers & bratwurst, you can ask all the questions you want.
