Cool Took the Teener out today

After replacing all the vacuum hoses, new air filter and discovering how to tweek the gas mixture I took the Punkin out for a test drive... WOW! what a difference. I still had to pull over and do a few more tweeks just to dial it in but, it sure makes a difference when these little critters run like they're supposed to. Did some twisties, got into some cool controled slides. Was grinnin' all the way home. Thanks again for everyones input to all my questions in the past month.

Garage
Congrats Bruce!

I've been spending all summer trying to get mine back to that point. After having the bottom end go out on my original engine, Ive now installed a second engine that I have - but still trying to get the thing dialed in. I think I have it narrowed down to the head temp sensor. We'll see tomorrow, when I have a chance to install it. I sure hope I don't have to pull off the intake manifold to get to it.

I'll take all the prayers I can get!

Wink

Good luck Gerard. The more I mess with this car the more I learn and the more gratification I get while driving it.
I'll be thinkin' & prayin' that you'll find your problem and won't need to take off the intake... although it shouldn't be too hard. Just more stuff to put back on when yer done!

Tell me, Bruce, is it tough to stay alert in Boring?....
I crack myself up, sometimes.

Going to the swap meet tomorrow?
