914 Speedo cable wanted
Anyone in Oregon that can give/sell a used speedo cable? I just want the cable to slide in my housing so I don't have to deal with threading thru the tunnel.

Buy a new one, it isn't that hard to slide it up the tunnel.
Cut the corner off a sandwich bag and put it over the end of the cable you want to push up the tunnel. Use an elastic band to hold the bag over the end. This keeps the dirt out of the new cable and stops the collar being left behind somewhere in the tunnel. You can just use a bit of tape but this way keeps the cable and threads clean for when you attach it to the speedometer. |
