More brake questions
Ok, this is what I'm gonna do. I'm keeping the system stock, I'm going to re-rebuild my calipers, ( new seals this time)re-fluid, readjust my rear venting clearance. My MC is original, thinking about getting the 911 MC, but if my current OEM 17mm MC is not leaking, could this still be hindering perfomance? Do these things create poor braking just from age like the rubber lines, Or am I spending 100.00 just for a higher pedal? And speaking of rubber lines, my car got SS braided lines in about 1982...do those go bad just from age like the stock ones? Thanks
and maybe I'll learn to like these little brakes after all. I have some old stock ( VERY OLD, 70's actually) Ferodos I got on Ebay a couple of years back on the front. Could this be part of the problem?

sounds like a plan
Leave the 17MM M/C in if you are not having a problem with leaking you should be OK. 19MM will give you a higher and hader to push pedal and soon enough you will have a big left thigh and not stop any better. The Stainless hoses should be fine just inspect them for abrasions and keep up with that practice. For the pads you can try them I don't see why they won't work unless they are for racing and require high temps to develop friction. FYI ferodo makes pads for street cars too. My 94 Explorer gets them as a middle of the road pad. I wouldn't make up my mind until the pads are bedded in anyway.
