Hello Everyone,
Well I just though I would hop on this cool Bandwaggon of guys putting really cool wheels on their cars. I recently got some really nice 6X16 and 7X16 Chrome Fuchs. I put 205/55 all around and rolled the rear fenders jusy a bit to get it all to fit. I really liked the 5.5X14's I had originally as well, so it was a hard decision. ![]() If anyone is contemplating this route I would say GO FOR IT! Here is the difference it makes: http://www.zianet.com/landt930/landt914/images/914trans2.jpg http://www.zianet.com/landt930/landt914/images/914ntre3.jpg http://www.zianet.com/landt930/landt914/images/914ntre2.jpg

"What a difference" is a major understatment. The steering used to be a little indirect is now dead nut on. The rear that used to step out now is on rails (or course I went to 225s on the back
![]() BUT... you need some good, strong horsies to push that extra meat around. My launch time is way down. Some of that is my fear of smoking my clutch as there is no way a 2.0 six will spin these buggers. I don't think it would be worth the extra costs and effort for a 1.7 or a 1.8. but thats just MHO.

A nice flat 6 would be cool. But I come from the styling side of Porsche and not as much from the Powerhouse side. So I focus on the looks first. I know it makes me a freak. But I fell in love with porsche from the styling and looks way before I ever new how dominating they were in the racing arena. Plus I am way past the need for smoking tires and going fast.
But a nice flat 6 is next on the plans... I think Porsche makes one? ![]()

Very sharp Chris.
How is the new steering wheel working out? If I were to change from stock that's the one I would get. Has the extra 3" closer bothered you at all?

Hey Chris,
I love the new 1986 911 Steering wheel. Though the stock one was nice too. I can switch them if I feel like it. But the thicker 911 wheel is more solid and gives me a better feel for the road. The 3 inches closer was okay. I felt like I was in a Stock Car racer. So I took the wheel to my mechanic and he switched out the 3" crush hub with a 1" one. Now it Rocks! I did not like the Momo type ones that are a smaller diameter. They just never felt quite right, but this one is just a tad smaller than stock and it is perfect. Take a look... No 1" gap either. I put the 914 part that has the horn contact in the oven and melted the 911 stock around it so now I have the horn and turn signal cancel stuff working perfect. Before: ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() New Seats... The interior will be finnished this weekend...
