Rotor width????

Can anyone tell me the width at which a 75 914-4 rotor should be discarded and the width it may be turned at? My front rotors measured 10.1mm (0.398") before I got them turned today. Will they still be thick enough to prevent warping? I am also doing the bmw brake upgrade if this will affect it at all. Thanks, Dave

Dave,
I think every 914 owner ought to have a copy of the Haynes
manual. Page 108 has all these specs.
Your front rotors are going to too thin.

You can turn them one more time if they are not bad and you start with 11mm. 10mm is the limit according to Haynes; Phil is correct on that. I'm surpriised that you found someone that would turn them past 10mm. IIRC, the min is stamped on the rotor.
