It's painted
 

I finally painted my 914 yesterday. You can go to the site in my signature to see the pics. The only problem is that I don't know if I like the color. As you can see by my Ghia, I like bright colors, this Polar Silver Metallic is just to quiet. :D I have not rubbed it out yet and also have not painted the doors, I'm thinking of changing the color...I must be crazy!! Someone stop me before I paint again, I must have inhaled to many fumes yesterday!! Help me!!

Seriously, looks like you did a great job and you don't want to waste your efforts, but to me a lot of the spirit of these cars comes from the fun '70s colors which just seem to fit the car's personality. And, if yellow was the original color....

But, this is just MHO, and I'm not the one doing all the work! And whatever color you end up with the car will be a real standout here in the midwest. Congrats.
