Front Brake Rotors

Guys, A question.

The part number for the front rotors for a 70-72 914 four cylinder is 411-407-075.

The part number for the 73-76 rotors is 411-407-075B.

What is the difference between therm? And will the later rotors work with an early car?

The short answer: They won't really work.

The longer answer: You can make them work, but you will have to switch over other parts to the later versions as well.

The late rotors have the hub-centering ring so early wheels will not fit them as-is. I think they may also have a different distance between the rotor and the top of the hat, but I'm less sure about that.

The offset it different, as Dave thought. Some '72 MY cars had the later brakes, IIRC.
