Black (chrome underneath) fog light grills
My last car (1974 1.8L) came with black painted bumpers and black fog light grills.
I switched to chrome bumpers and noticed that the black fog light grills had some paint flaking off. I ended up using some paint remover and uncovered shiny chrome fog light grills underneath. I can't explain it, but I came across another grill (purchased with lot of parts) that was the same way. Has anyone else come agross this?

I have a pair like this, the black is coming off and they look chrome. I figured the PO just spray painted them.
