A REAL road rocket...

Saw this mid-engine at the Reno Air Races recently and wanted to pass it on. Kinda ends the arguments over which 6 to swap in, but I doubt it corners well.

PS It supposedly made 400 MPH down the strip...

Yes I know the wheels aren't driven so they can't be spun. Lighten up, it's a joke!

Looks like he had to cut the rear valence to allow for the exhaust pipe to stick out.

Yeah. And the tail-fin marks it as an ABARTH one-off from the late 50's or early sixties of some kind...maybe a von Braun Special
