Center tunnel fuel lines

I'm thinking of replacing the center tunnel plastic fuel lines while I have the floor pan off. I was thinking of using SS tubeing, but can't find any 5/16" tube in SS. I can get 1/4" but am afraid that would restrict fuel flow too much.

Anyone else done this? What did you use?

Log on to Summit Racing's web page - I don't know the address but your browser should grab it easy enough. Put in your name for the free catalog. Lots of Chevy/musselcar stuff. They carry all of the stainless line sizes, fittings, etc for pretty good prices.

Thanks, I just looked them up and they had some braided SS line, but no plain old solid SS tube. I could use steel brake line, but I'm worried about it eventually rusting away in the center tunnel. It sure would be easy to slip a solid stainless line (with 2 slight bends) right through the existing grommets if I could only find it!
