he is up in the Dublin/Pleasonton area, very nice shop, he has about 10 lifts and held a 911 tech session going thur all the changes between each year with different year 911s on each lift

but for the last speed stuff:

i heard that they kept changing the rules to put the Porsches at a disadvantage after awhile.....(the true hot-rod guys don't like them 'foreign cars)

his last run a few years ago went bad, he rolled his 935 (?) at 150+ , i don't think he has been back since,

No dealership, just a well respected foriegn car service shop

Since he does not not have a lot of parking space he has car storage racks 3 or 4 cars high in the back area, prtty neat but I guess it would be a pain to get the car up on top when you need it.

the text reads;

This Porsche averaged 183.747 mph, June 1987, at the Bonneville Salt Flats, capturing the World Land Speed Record in the two liter class. Driver/owner: Denny Kahler. Primary sponsor: Automotion.

it looks like the top has been chopped, makes for a better looking 911, i think. this photo has been on my wall since probably ..... '87!!

The 356 story was written up in great detail in Excellance several years ago. I saved the article, thats were the picture came from. I remember reading about the 911 but not a lot.

don't leave out the 928

87 S4 Showroom stock claimed fastest production car that year there is a whole web site out there but can't find it at the moment. Ever since I seen that picture I needed one of those cars. Now after 12 years of ownership I am contemplating selling it. (gee I get misty eyed every time I think of it)
