non matching numbers

Well after looking my engine over its a GA 2.0 in a 76' So I guess its a NON matching numbers car now...right...I think the 76 has a diffrent letter designation..correct ??? Thanks FM

The 75-76 cars should have a GC-code motor. The GA is regarded as equivalent or slightly better than the GC motor.

At this point, matching numbers aren't a super big deal in 914s. They may become more of a concern over the years, though.

What's a correct engine number for a 1971, 914-6?

Somewhere in these ranges:
6410011-6410268
6414001-6414163
