I have an accel gauge mounted with a barb fitting and short peice of hose on the fuel rail test port. $25+
If you need cockpit gauge Cyberdyne, or VDO are good, you need an electric gauge with a sending unit.

My 73 2.0 has a fitting on the fuel rail.
My 74 2.0 has nothing ............ I'm trying to put the 74's engine in the 73. I guess I'll put a T in the rubber fuel line.

You didn't mention whether your running FI or carbs...I have carbs and most "Y" blocks you use to split the main fuel line into two to feed the carbs have a tapped and plugged port between the line outlets. I fabricated a mount for the "Y" block to fit on one of the case bolt on the rear portion of the block, it makes for a neat installation and the gauge is easy to read.
