914-6 custom gauge set up

In excellence a while back there was a article on a 914-6 conversion project that was done by Rich Johnson. He had a oil temp.,oil press., and gas gauge custom set up from one of the speedo restoration shops. Does anyone remember this article and which shop did the work?
This was done with the stock oil temp/oil press. gauge from a 911S.

I remember the article...

I think the 4 combo was the shop in Palo Alto... or was it North Hollywood Speedometer? Just can't remember exactly.

There is also a nice 3 Combo kit at: http://www.project914.com/projects/porsch6/interior.html

Didn't seen the article, but here are a couple of sources for the triple gauge that seems to be used often:

http://www.nhspeedometer.com/ [press the "goodies of interest" button for a pic.]

http://www.paspeedo.com/porsche914combi.htm

And lastly, apparently renengade makes one that was talked about a bit on rennlist.

(I've not used any of the above suppliers, but I'm t;hinking of getting the triple guage for my /6. I'll start with PA since they're local to me)

Don from Pelican also made a triple-gauge kit at one point. However, it's been out of production for a while now.

The better VDO shops can came a 930 tach (with boost gauge) into a tach with a gauge that reads whatever you like down in the bottom.

Thanks guys!!
I knew this board would pull through.
Next week I am buying a 1970 914/6, one owner, 36,450 original miles. I want to do a few tastefull modifications.

I had NH Speedo do the 930 tach w/ boost conversion to a tach with fuel gauge. Looks like it belongs there, and with the 911 combo oil temp / pressure gauge in place of the 914 fuel / brake light, don't need nuthin else. I'd attach a pic, but the gauge just went back to NHS 'cause the tach died  .

Rich Johnson's car has the 930 tach w/ the boost gauge also, and he has a temp and pressure gauge from a 911 also. I think the look is cool and fits in the dash while looking factory. Maybe when I'm down the those details I'll do the same :D

I went for factory "look" but these are not from the factory.

You could try here
Tripple Gauge Kits

They are in a kit form for $85 delivered in the USA.

The tripple gauge I have is from Hollywood Speedometer. Its very high quality and has LED illumination. More expenseive than that tripple gauge kit but the Hollywood Speedo gauge looks much better, clost to original looking.

If you have an early car then don't forget the silver buttons.
