What parts do you need? I have 2 1.7l engines laying around with FI.

I know I need a FI brain, but I already pulled FI and installed carbs, PO has stripped car for resto so its too much work right now to run off of FI, but I need to fire up motor so I am motivated to finish project and see if I should pull motor for rebuild. I have to hear it run!!!! vroom vroom sputter sputter blaaahSmileWavy

The stock FI distributor will run better than the 009 aftermarket "performance" distributors.
You should be able to hook up a vacuum signal from your carbs, depending which carbs you have, Mine are Dell 45's -theres' only a port on one carb.
I tossed the 009 that came with the car and installed a 205 stock distributor connected a vacuum line and fitted an ignitor spark trigger module (the point cam lobes were quite badly worn).
You can tell the difference right away, its smoother, quicker and with the vacuum it gives really good fuel mileage and oil temps are down 20deg at 90-100mph due to the timing advancing to the correct 36BTDC at motorway cruising speeds
