Seal between dash & windshield?
Do you have to pull the windshield and dash to replace? Or can you replace with
windshield installed? Talking a '73 here if it matters. Thanks, p2http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1426009101.jpg |
IIRC I BELIEVE you can do it with the windshield in although it's not easy. I know you can do it with the dash in. I did mine without the windshield out and it took about 10 minutes.

Windshield out. It may be possible to do with the WS in, but I've only heard of it being replaced while the WS is out.

I think Bruce(GWN7) makes that, pretty sure you want the windshield out

Sorry, I see in my original post I said I did it with the windshield in. I meant to say it was "out" and it took 10 minutes.

I replaced mine with windshield in and didn't find it to be all that difficult.

O.k., so you don't need to pull windshield.
Keith above is right.
Didn't want to pull the glass and have to chance breaking windshield. Just took the black interior 'A'-Pillar covers off, dug the old seal out/off w/small hook, and long curved needle nose pliers. Used paint stirrer to seat new one. Vac up mess from old seal. Pillar covers back on. Done in 20 min. Easy peasy. p2 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1426121761.jpg |
