throttle body removal
Other than the two obvious screws holding the throttle body to the intake, is there anything else holding it on? I've taken out the screws but the thing won't budge!
I'd like to take the throttle body off and clean it out. It's really yucky. Just thought I'd ask before I force it. Thanks! --Case...

maybe just the throttle body gasket has "melted" and is providing extra holding power. no, nothing but the 2 screws.

I think it is just stuck in place, may the force be with you.

Thanks for a quick response, fellas. Indeed the force did triumph over the evil gasket!
I didn't know that it was tapered. That makes for a good seal there. The gasket was still in good shape and plyable. After cleaning the thing up, the idle screw now works. Cool. --Case...
