Red face I'm screwed

I can't believe it

I'm putting my engine back into my 73 914 and I can't find my engine wiring harness. Tore the entire garage apart and it's gone...does anyone have one in an old parts car they'd be willing to part with; or know where I might find one?

It's the one that connects up the starter solinoid, oil pressure sender, coil, ect to the circuit board.

Can be working or not, really need the the connector to the circuit board.. I'll build the rest if I have too...

Thanks....

If you don't locate a used harness and forced into making your own, you might want to give Scott @ www.renegadehybrids.com a call. I know they make a wiring harness for the v8 conversion cars and it is supplied with a brand new plug (14 pin connector).

This is funny. Last July Renegade accidentally sent me one of their proto V8 harnesses by mistake. I had to call and make arrangements to send it back to them. I can tell you that it was a nice looking harness, as is all of Renegade's stuff. I stopped by their shop in July and Mike gave me a tour.

The circuit board connectors (bakelite) are available and so are the small connectors that go on the wires. If you can't find one, the last resort could be to make one by hand. Shops that do old VW or 914 work should have them. Good luck.
